Measuring Plantation Shutters

To give you some background for measuring plantation shutters, the follow steps are helpful:
Inside Mount Measuring
1. Measure EXACT width in 3 different places. Use the narrowest width.
2. Order width closest to your window width measurements without exceeding your window width.
3. Measure EXACT length from the top of the window opening to the top of the window sill in 3 different places.
A)For Horizontal Blinds Use The Longest Height.
B)For All Others Use The Smallest Height.
4. Measure window depth from the back of the window to the window's outer edge.
A)You Will Need A Depth To Install Inside The Window Framing.
B)Take Into Consideration Sill Mount When Measuring For Shutters
Outside Mount Measuring
1. Measure EXACT width of the window frame in 3 different places.
2. Measure EXACT height from the top of the window frame to the sill or the bottom of the window frame.
3. Overlaps are necessary to completely cover the window and help block light.
